Hall ushers in Kinks star Ray Davies

RAY Davies, the founder member of classic rock band The Kinks, is to play a gig in the Capital later this year.

In 1990 The Kinks were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004 he was awarded the CBE.

He is planning to play a gig at the Usher Hall on 5 May.
