Hall or nothing: Supermodel Jerry puts £2million art collection up for sale to 'simplify' life

Jerry Hall is expected to make more than 2 million when she sells part of her modern art collection.

The 14 works, by artists including Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Lucian Freud, document her 30 years in the spotlight.

Now 54, she says the sale is about "letting go of the past" after her break-up with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger.

"It's all a process of simplifying my life," she said.

Part of her reason for the sale, she says, is that her daughters, models Elizabeth and Georgia May, and son James have moved out. She said: "The two eldest are looking to get an apartment, so I was thinking about helping them. It is not logical to have that much money on the wall."

The paintings will be sold at Sotheby's next week. The works include Francesco Clemente's surrealist portrait of her, and Lucian Freud's Eight Months Gone, his portrait of a naked and heavily pregnant Ms Hall, aged 41.
