Haiti cholera death toll rises to 1,344

The United Nations said the death toll from the cholera outbreak in Haiti has reached 1,344.

The UN's Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs said 23,377 people have now been hospitalised because of the disease.

Spokeswoman Elisabeth Byrs said the figures came from the Haitian government and cover the period to 19 November.
