Hacker posts George HW Bush family emails online

A CRIMINAL investigation is underway after hackers apparently accessed personal emails and photographs exchanged between former US President George H.W. Bush and his family.

One photograph was said to show the former president’s son George W Bush, also a former president, standing next to a cardboard cut-out of himself wearing a beret.

Another appeared to be a picture of a self-portrait painting of George Bush Jnr in the bath.

Other emails revealed that the family had started to make preparations for the funeral of Geroge Bush Snr, who spent time in hospital during the month of December suffering from a fever.

Further messages posted suggested a firm friendship between Bush Snr and fellow former president Bill Clinton, who is named as ‘Bubba’.

The images and emails were posted on an American website, who attributed the attack to a hacker calling themselves ‘Guccifer’, which can be seen watermarked on the leaked photographs.
