Gym centre work begins

A MAJOR revamp of a leisure centre is scheduled to get under way today.

The refurbishment of the Xcite Craigswood complex, in Livingston, will include a gym expansion and creation of a second dance studio and new bike studios.

The centre’s reception and foyer are being renovated, with refurbished changing rooms and toilets also planned.

The development’s second phase is expected to be completed by the end of June.

Gym equipment will be moved into the group fitness studio while the upgrades are being completed.

Fraser Scott, facility manager at Xcite Craigswood, said: “When the work is completed, customers will have a range of first-class facilities and equipment for the local community to enjoy for years to come.”
