Guga on menu

AN ABERDEEN restaurant is to be the first in the country to put baby gannets - known as gugas - on its menu.

Up to 2,000 gannet chicks are killed every year on Sula Sgeir island, off the Butt of Lewis, by a group of ten hunters who are granted a special licence from the Scottish Government to continue their tradition.

The Musa restaurant is planning to serve up a limited supply of the birds this week.
