Guests gather for Hanukkah celebrations

EDWARD Green lit a grand menorah in St Andrew Square to mark Hanukkah.

The annual celebration was due to attract special guests including The American Consulate General of Edinburgh Dana Linnet and Councillor Eric Milligan.

A guest rabbi from the oldest synagogue in New Haven, Connecticut was expected to give the Hanukkah Message to those who braved the winter chill for the celebration.

Thursday evening's event was organised by Chabad of Edinburgh, run to support Jewish students in the Capital.
