Guesthouse scoops gold

A GUESTHOUSE owner with no previous experience has picked up a major tourism award.

Sue Thompson, owner of Six Brunton Place, has been voted the Gold winner for Scotland East in the inaugural Eviivo Awards.

The architecture student opened the guesthouse after renovating the run-down Georgian townhouse.

She said: "I just thought, 'what would I like if I were a guest?'"
