Green light for proposal

A DENTAL practice and a housing development is set to be built in East Lothian after the plans were given a green light by council chiefs.

Medical Centres Scotland and Hart Builders (Edinburgh) Ltd put forward proposals to build to the east of the Lidl car park in Prestonpans’ High Street.

The ten-chair dental practice is set to replace the current dentist facility in the town.

The 24 flats to be built on the site will be affordable housing.
