Green light for incredible bulk facility
The city council wants to create the facility, which would store items such as fridges and cookers before they are taken away to be recycled, at land in Bankhead Avenue.
It estimates that 300 tonnes a month would be stored at the site, with ten vehicles a day picking up the materials. Council planning officials say that the site is already established as a community recycling facility and the new proposals are effectively an extension.
