Ms Henley, a photographer from Edinburgh, persuaded her partner Robin McBride, an engineer, and around 20 guests to run alongside her to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in tribute to her brother-in-law Matthew. Ms Henley said: "My young brother-in-law died of cancer last year, which is another reason why we decided it really was time to get married and has made me feel more grateful than ever that I am alive, living in the city I love, with the man that I love and that I can run."

The couple, who were among more than 10,000 runners taking part in the10km, event had just two hours to get changed. The happy couple have completed several 10km runs and take part in the Edinburgh Rat Race every year.
