Grease is the word at cinema's sing-along

GREASE fans can show off their talents at special sing-along screenings of the movie starting next week.

Vue cinemas say they are looking for budding T-Birds and Pink Ladies to pay tribute to the ultimate high school musical film.

With song lyrics provided on the screen and the sound turned up a notch, the Grease sing-along shows are being billed as "the ultimate viewing experience for all fans of the class of '59 from Rydell High".

The screenings mark 32 years since the release of the original film and follow on from the success of Mama Mia sing-alongs.

There are four screenings over the course of a week at the Omni Centre Vue, kicking off on Friday, September 17, and one at the Ocean Terminal Vue on September 24.
