Grandparents to reatreretain National Insurance credits
People who give up jobs to look after their grandchildren will have their right to a state pension protected under government plans.
Grandparents who stop work will continue to build up National Insurance credits if they are caring for a child under 12.
The proposed system is based on that which mothers can use while raising their children.
One in four families relies on grandparents to care for children.
