Graeme Morrice fights for Livingston

WEST Lothian councillor Graeme Morrice has won the battle to succeed Jim Devine as Labour candidate for Livingston at the general election.

A former West Lothian Council leader, Mr Morrice, 50, was on a four-strong shortlist to replace Mr Devine, banned from standing again after the expenses scandal.

Mr Morrice said: "I am delighted to be selected to fight this seat for Labour. West Lothian is my home and has been for almost all my life.

"I will be out working hard with my campaign team in the coming days and look forward to meeting as many local residents as possible before polling day."
