GPs oppose MacDonald bill

A GROUP of 47 GPs have united in opposition to moves at the Scottish Parliament to legalise assisted suicide.

Independent MSP Margo MacDonald is sponsoring a private Member's Bill to change the law.

In a letter to The Scotsman today, the doctors write: "As healthcare professionals seeking to address the suffering of patients and their families, we will never accept that some human lives are unworthy of life."
