The move follows a request from Lothians Labour MSP Kezia Dugdale, who urged the government to hold talks with the Olympic Delivery Authority to learn how it successfully ensured more than 80 per cent of people employed by all contractors were paid at or above the London Living Wage.
Legal experts have said writing such a requirement into contracts would flout European law.
