Good marks for nursery

A WEST Lothian nursery has been praised by education inspectors.

Eastertoun Nursery School's strengths included improved learning experiences through the development of the garden area, confident children who are motivated to learn, and a welcoming and positive atmosphere, inspectors said.

They said opportunities for children to develop writing skills through play should be increased, observation should be used to identify next learning steps for individual children, and arrangements for tracking children's progress should be improved.
