Golf legend Jack Nicklaus to talk at National Museum in Edinburgh

GOLF legend Jack Nicklaus is to give a talk at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

The 72-year-old will be talking about his career and his close relationship with Scotland, both as a player and as a designer of golf courses, as part of the RBS Museum Talks series.

Arguably the greatest champion in the history of the game, it has been 50 years since Mr Nicklaus first appeared at The Open Championship in 1962, a tournament which he went on to win three times.

“For almost as long as I have played the game professionally, I have enjoyed a love affair with the golf and the golf fans of Scotland,” he said.

“Scotland has always been considered the home of golf, and in some ways, it has felt like a second home to me, because of the way I was treated so warmly over the years.”
