Goldsmith shows off his sharp skills

GOLDSMITH Kenneth Erik Moffat was delighted to hold aloft The "Redemption Sword", which took him more than 2000 hours to make.

The gold and silver basket hilted sword illustrates the 16th century Borders ballad of Johnnie Armstrong.

The sword is to be exhibited at the Scottish Parliament as part of an exhibition on the History, Art and Culture of the Anglo Scottish Borders.
