Go-karting deal is on the home stretch

A GO-KARTING company has formally signed a lease that will allow it to open a new facility in the Capital.

The Evening News revealed last month that Falkirk-based Xtreme Karting won planning consent for a move into an Edinburgh Interchange building.

It has now sealed a deal for a 42,412-square-feet warehouse at Newbridge with landlord Park Lane City in what is the biggest industrial deal of the year so far in Edinburgh.

Ben Reed, director at Jones Lang LaSalle, which acted for Xtreme Karting, said: "Edinburgh Interchange provides the perfect location for this exciting new venture, with easy access from across the Central Belt as well as public transport for people visiting the centre from Edinburgh. Xtreme Karting hopes to be operational by December 2010."
