Glasvegas to play in store

Mercury music prize-nominated Glasvegas will be playing an intimate acoustic gig in
Avalanche Records today.

The gig, part of Record Store Day, will take place in the Grassmarket shop at 2.30pm and space is expected to be extremely limited.

Record Store Day was first set up in the USA in 2007 to celebrate the “unique culture” offered by independent retailers.

The UK followed suit in 2008 for “the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music.”
