Glasgow murder probe launched following teenager's death

POLICE in Glasgow have launched a murder investigation following a teenager's death in the south side of the city.

The 17-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was taken to the Victoria Infirmary after being found injured near the entrance of Pollok Park in Pollokshaws Road just before midnight last night.

He died shortly after being admitted to hospital.

Strathclyde Police are appealing for anyone who may noticed a disturbance in the area at around 11.50pm.

Pollokshaws West station and roads in and around Pollok Park have been closed as part of the ongoing police investigation.
