Glasgow gets on the tuk tuk taxi

SCOTLAND'S first passenger- carrying tuk tuk will launch sightseeing tours of Glasgow later this month.

Taxi driver Pat Donnelly has imported the first of two 659cc motorised rickshaws from Thailand, which can carry four people.

He hopes to start tours from George Square in two weeks' time, taking in Glasgow Cathedral, the People's Palace, Glasgow Science Centre and Kelvingrove Art Gallery. The 16,500 vehicles will also be available for hire for events such as weddings.
