Give games a whirl

MORE than 1000 visitors are expected to attend the Dirleton Fete and Games on Saturday.

The East Lothian village is hosting a slew of mini games throughout the day followed by a ceilidh from 7pm.

Centred at the village green, festivities will open with a rousing chorus from the North Berwick Pipe Band from 1pm, with children's races, amusements, archery, classic cars, falconry, tug of war and bucking bronco to keep visitors entertained.

A spokesperson said: "The Fete and Games raises money for local charities and other good causes and despite Dirleton being only a small village of around 700 residents, it regularly has many more visitors to this event."
