Girl, 8, burned to death by fat spill

AN EIGHT-year-old girl died after tipping boiling fat over herself while helping her mother make burgers for her brother's birthday party, an inquest heard.

Tiffany Smith, described as a "helpful girl", died in 2006 after suffering 38 per cent burns in the family home in Gloucester. A verdict of accidental death was recorded.
