Girl, 15, dies after falling from 60ft building in Ayr

A 15-year-old girl died yesterday after falling 60 feet from the roof of a four-storey building in Ayr.

Kayleigh Scott is believed to have been on the roof with a group of friends shortly before the incident yesterday morning.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance crews, but died shortly after arriving at Ayr Hospital.

Her family laid flowers at the scene of the incident yesterday, with a card that read: “Loved and missed forever. Sleep safe our precious little angel”.

Last night, the headteacher of Belmont Academy, the school she attended, said he was “devastated” to learn of the teenagers death.
