Girl, 14, hit in street attack

A TEENAGE girl was grabbed from behind and hit in the face in an unprovoked attack.

The lone 14-year-old was attacked as she walked down School Lane, Cockenzie, at around 10pm on Monday.

She was grabbed and hit in the face several times.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, around 5ft 8ins tall with a broad build and a wide nose. He was wearing dark trousers, a dark green hooded top with the hood up and a dark coloured scarf over his mouth. He spoke with a Scottish accent.
