Giraffe surprises zoo staff with baby

Zoo keepers were shocked by the birth of a 5ft baby to a giraffe who had kept her pregnancy hidden. The calf was born at Paignton Zoo in Devon to first-time mother Sangha on Monday.

Keeper Jim Dicks said: "Wild animals are very good at keeping this sort of thing hidden."
