Giant Lobster raises £600 for Sick Kids

THE biggest lobster caught in the Forth in more than 40 years has raised more than £600 for charity.

• Larry the Lobster next to a regular full-grown adult rival

The 3ft-long, 4-kilo lobster, nicknamed Larry, was caught by brothers Robbie and David Brand in the Inner Forth last week, and donated to Stockbridge fishmonger Armstrong's of Edinburgh.

Owner Gaven Borthwick decided to use the beast to raise money for the Sick Kid's Hospital, and offered people the chance to have their picture taken with the monster for just 50p.

Mr Borthwick said he would double the funds, donating the lot to the city hospital.
