Geese galore at island reserve

A RECORD number of barnacle geese has landed at a nature reserve on Islay.

Around 35,000 geese have congregated at Loch Gruinart, beating last year’s record of 28,000. RSPB Scotland area manager Jack Fleming said: “We’ve got wall-to-wall feathers.”
