'Gay kiss-in' thwarted as pub closes doors

A PLANNED 'gay kiss-in' by 750 people was blocked after the pub, where two men were thrown out for a public display of affection on their first date, closed its doors.

Jonathan Williams, 26, a financial journalist, and James Bull, 23, a charity volunteer, said they were ejected from the John Snow in Broadwick Street, Soho, on Wednesday by a woman who claimed to be the landlady who accused them of being "obscene".

The Samuel Smith's pub is close to the heart of London's "gay village" in Soho.
