Gas pipeline shut after bomb attack

SABOTEURS blew up a pipeline carrying gas from Egypt to Israel and Jordan yesterday, forcing a shutdown in the flow of gas.

The explosion took place in the early morning at a station in the northern Sinai Peninsula at Bir Abd, 40 miles east of the Suez Canal, sources said.
