'Gas leak' closes primary school

A PRIMARY school has been closed following reports of a "gas escape" in the area.

About 200 pupils were sent home from St Teresa's RC Primary at Lochside, Dumfries, as a result of the incident. The leak was later repaired and the school will reopen on Monday.
