Garvald set for city deal

A CHARITY that provides support to adults with learning disabilities is set to win a new three-year contract from the city council.

The council expects the contract with Garvald Day Services - which will provide a service for 106 users - to cost around 850,000. It follows a series of negotiations between council officials and bosses at Garvald.

Within the contract, the council has agreed to only refer new people if they have critical and substantial needs.
