Gardener’s new world

New wrought iron gates have been installed at Gardner’s Crescent in the West End, as part of a project to restore the community garden.

Railings and gateways have been installed, based on the originals, with the planting of trees, shrubs and flowers, new lighting, benches and bins planned.

The project was the inspiration of residents, and with backing from Edinburgh World Heritage, ScottishPower, Miller Homes and Edinburgh City Council, the gardens are gradually being transformed.

The garden is situated between the Georgian terrace and Rosebank Cottages and Rosemount buildings.
