Gang rampage in restaurant

Police were yesterday hunting a gang of up to 40 youths who smashed a window and door during a mass disturbance at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Dundee's Camperdown Leisure Park late on Monday night.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said: "Staff were alarmed and secured the doors. The youths proceeded to kick and strike at the door and windows of the premises, causing the glass on the door and window to smash. One of the youths was believed to be in possession of a metal pole."

She added: "Full lines of inquiry are ongoing to identify the youths responsible."
