Games firm ready to start play

A NEW gaming company has been set up in the Capital.

GamesAnalytics has been set up by games industry specialist Chris Wright with support and investment from entrepreneur and games industry veteran Tim Christian, who will also become chief financial officer.

Its technology includes individually-targeted in-game marketing of products and services and could help gaming companies bring in extra revenues.

Mr Wright said: "Companies need to quickly understand and effectively respond to the massive amounts of player information they are gathering. The companies that get this right are the ones that will succeed in this new and exciting future."

Mr Christian added: "Our objective is to generate $1 billion of incremental revenue for online game publishers and developers by 2015. Regardless of the revenue level of our clients' games, use of our products will generate more money."
