Gallery plays fame game with Dürer

the Dürer's Fame exhibition opens today at the Scottish National Gallery on The Mound.

The exhibition showcases around 30 prints, drawings and paintings from the National Galleries of Scotland collection of work by Albrecht Drer. Among the works on display are the prints Melancholy, Saint Jerome in his Study and Knight, Death and the Devil.

Contemporary and later copies of his work are also included, including imitations and a likely forgery, along with portraits and works that reflect Drer's art.
