Gallery deal for architects

A LEADING firm of architects have been appointed for the £17.6 million revamp of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

Glasgow-based Page(Park Architects were chosen from a shortlist of firms to oversee the massive project, due to get under way next year.

The company's CV includes the Rosslyn Chapel Conservation and Access Project, as well as work on the Glasgow School of Art.

The redevelopment will see the Queen Street gallery double in size.
