Gadd drums up interest in tour date

THE Mission from Gadd show that was postponed following the volcanic ash flight ban has been rescheduled for September.

Renowned drummer Steve Gadd will perform at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on September 8 as part of Zildjian's European tour, after the original show date in April was cancelled.

His contributions to albums have included Steely Dan's Aja, Paul McCartney's Tug Of War and Eric Clapton's Riding With The King.

John De Christopher, Zildjian's vice president announcing the tour, said: "Our goal is to provide the ultimate experience for Steve's fans by presenting a rare opportunity to see Steve up close and in an intimate setting."

UK product manager for Zildjian, Gavin Thomas, added: "This exciting tour is utterly unique, just like Steve Gadd himself."

Tickets cost 15 each.
