Future of Lebanon 'at stake' in dispute

Saudi Arabia said yesterday it had abandoned mediation efforts in Lebanon between Shiite Hezbollah and Sunni leader Saad al-Hariri over the killing of his father and warned the country's future was at stake.

Former prime minister Rafik al-Hariri was killed in 2005.
