Funeral firm lease granted

A FUNERAL director in Craigmillar is to have its lease extended by the city council.

William Purves Funeral Directors Limited has been given a five-year lease for the council-owned premises at 92 Niddrie Mains Road.

The lease is on a full repairing and insuring basis, and is set at a rental level of 6500 a year.

It was approved by councillors at a meeting of the city's finance committee earlier this week.
