Fuel poverty action call

CAMPAIGNERS have called for action on fuel poverty after a new survey found more people struggling to pay utility bills.

WWF Scotland said more needed to be invested in improving the energy efficiency of Scotland's homes.

The environmental group made the call following the publication of the latest household condition survey which revealed one in three Scottish households live in fuel poverty.

WWF also warned that with the latest fuel price rises, the figure is likely to be an underestimate.
