Fringe event reels in cast of world-class musicians

EDDIE Reader, Fish and Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain are among the renowned acts performing at this year's Fringe By The Sea festival in North Berwick.

Aside from a feast of top musicians to wow audiences over seven days, the event will also boast The Belhaven Spiegeltent - with a 600 capacity - as well as names from the worlds of film, books and comedy.

An Antiques Roadshow-style "Valuation Day" is debuting this year with the help of Edinburgh auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull.

Now in its fourth year, Fringe by the Sea has grown from being a 14-show festival held over four days to a week-long bonanza of 60 shows. More than 7500 revellers are expected to attend this year.

ScotRail is running late-night trains to Edinburgh for the duration of the festival.
