Frightened daughter called 999

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl called the police after her drunken father threatened to kill her mother when she refused to give him more drink.

Andrew Vint, 42, erupted when his partner, Shona Hardie, denied him more booze in their Inverness home on 20 December.

His actions caused fear and alarm among his three children - aged 12, eight and four - resulting in his eldest daughter calling 999.

Vint, of 108 Carnarc Crescent, pleaded guilty to the offence, and resisting arrest.

Sheriff Ian Abercrombie put Vint on a structured deferred sentence for three months for anger management and alcohol counselling.
