Friends pay tribute to avalanche victim

COLLEAGUES of a solicitor who died in an avalanche while skiing in the Italian Alps yesterday paid tribute to an "absolutely fabulous young man".

James Ryan, 37, from Huddersfield, was skiing off-piste in Val di Rhemes with a group on Sunday when he was caught in the avalanche. He died on the way to hospital.
