Friends hold fundraiser

THE friends and colleagues of a man who was left paralysed after a tragic accident are holding a fundraiser to buy him an electric wheelchair.

Andrew Murray lost all feeling below his chest after he fell down a flight of stairs and broke his neck in November 2007.

The 32-year-old had been a popular member of the Co-op Funeralcare offices team in Bathgate and Livingston, where he worked as a funeral director.

His colleagues are to host a race night at Livingston Football Club on Saturday, August 21, where games, raffle prizes and a buffet will be on offer.
