Frenzied attack

TWO children may have been mentally scarred for life after seeing their mother murdered by their father in a frenzied knife assault, a court heard yesterday.

A girl, aged five, was screaming “help my mummy” as a neighbour managed to grab her during the attack and take her out.

A boy, two, was on the floor, close to his mother’s head while blow upon blow rained down on her. He could not be reached until police arrived and took him out of the room.
