Free ferry bus given support

TRANSPORT chiefs have pledged renewed support for a free shuttle bus service for passengers travelling on ferries between Rosyth and Zeebrugge.

Regional transport group SEStran will continue to fund the service along with Fife Council through a 6,000 grant.

The shuttle links the ferry with the local bus and rail network.

Councillor Russell Imrie, SEStran's chairman, said: "The shuttle offers a convenient and sustainable service for those travelling on the Zeebrugge ferry as foot passengers and for tourists entering Scotland to make their way quickly to their destinations."
