Franchitti and girlfriend to race down aisle

RACING driver Marino Franchitti is to marry speedway sweetheart Holly Mason, daughter of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.

Franchitti, from Broxburn, shares his passion for cars with his bride-to-be, who is a regular fixture at race meets.

She was introduced to motors by her famous father, who has an extensive personal collection of cars from around the world, covering each era of motoring.

GT star Franchitti got his first taste of racing at the age of just eight when he began go-karting and made his professional sports car debut in 2001.

Marino is the younger brother of top racing driver Dario, who married American actress Ashley Judd in 2001 at Skibo Castle . The couple now live in Tennessee in the United States.
